Tablix
TABLIX is a conversation between the Tabla language, digital music production technology and MIDI. An exploration of the melodic potential of the tabla, TABLIX blends the ergonomics and sounds of a time-honoured tabla tradition with the infinite possibilities of the digital to create a new mode of artistic expression.
TABLIX continues to evolve and aims to develop creative technological ideas to support musical expression in relationship to the artistic process, technique, and ergonomics of the Tabla artist—inviting them to ideate, compose, edit, perform, explore, and collaborate with MIDI based artists, and processes in new, unique, and synergistic ways within the digital canvas through the Tabla artform.

SURmUN Music Tech R&D
SURmUN Records R&D
SURmUN Arts in Education
The iterative process of observing, analyzing, the instrument functioning and in particular the specificities of the musician's relationship with their instrument
A segment of the creative research development requires using the prototype instrufaces at each iteration to write, compose, play with, and record music.
The proprietary Instrufaces are so unique that they themselves become the vehicle for teaching and integrating music production and creation in the digital music production space.
